Collectible Vintage Signs
Quikly becoming the favorite of many collectors and home decoraters are the signs of the past. There has been an amazing change in the advertising world during the last 50 years. Early vintage signs made of metal, tin or wood, usually hand painted or stamped sent a simple message to the consumer. These signs advertised most anything you can think of. Some of the largest users of vintage signs were the auto, soda, beer and gas and oil companies. Coca-cola, Pepsi, A&W, Texaco, Gulf are just a few of the many to pick from. Vintage signs are a great way to decorate the home, office or workshop. Also a cool way to follow our history as the many changes in our life are shown in these signs from the way we dress to the way we play. Vintage signs are just plain fun as well as a lesson in history and art. |

I remember as a kid traveling, spending hours staring out the window looking for the Burma Shave signs. Many of those signs are now quite valuable.
